Quite inspired to make such a wonderful painting from such a simple subject. Everything is just perfect - the shapes, the colours, the effects you have achieved. It does have an abstract feel as others have noticed, which is wonderful because, as a viewer, you make what you want of it -best way for a viewer to interact with an artist and his painting in my opinion.

Very beautiful grasses, I think it is the semi-abstract, expressive quality of your works that appeal to me so much and also your choice of subjects, I like to gaze at such scenes in nature. I love the turning tide at Hayle painting too. Good luck with the rest of your exhibition!

Sparring. Against the autumn howl tearing away the paper sky . Shivering rustling rivers through tawny fields. Its bitter stare puckering my wrinkles deeper, squeezing lemon salt tears my down my apple blushed face. Yet I press forward, the lone battle weary flag in half surrender, by the bristly way, past grassy swords succombed in languid color. So very, very beautiful!

Looking at this painting just takes me there....I'm lying on my back in the dunes, looking up, listening to the wind in the marram grass, and to the waves breaking on the shore....great stuff Alan !
