Terrific colours in the water.

Lovely painting. Really like the foreground.

Lovely colours and movement

Hi Alan, I love this one. For me, your painting have an ethereal quality. Thanks again, you're a mate too, lots of love, Coll xx

Great movement.

Love this one too ! Alan. I like the colours in the foreground, and the action in the wave. You really capture the movement of the sea in all your paintings. It's obvious that you love it. Jx

thanks for the link to it! Would have commented earlier, but my broken wrist is giving me gyp.... I like the movement in this, and those almost incidental colours you introduce, lilac, pale green, orange, which help to bring out the cooler blues. All too easy to refine this sort of thing until you have a beautifully detailed work which looks like nothing you'd ever actually see - much prefer this.

My husband is an avid surfer and I just love sittting and watching the surf, especially good in the next few months. I have tried to paint a wave breaking but it is much more difficult than I thought, when you really watch the waves breaking it is amazing to see the variety of colours - especially just before it breaks - and when the surf rolls on to the beach you get all the sand and seaweed churning up which gives a warm colour which you have captured. I am getting that urge to get to the wild west - thanks for posting again Jedi

Thanks for the comments everyone always appreciated and it's great to have them!!

Great painting - I can feel the wave coming at me - love this!

Love the painting very much indeed. Makes me think of the coast and summer days ahead.
