I am not surprised that it was sold. The colours are fantastic. Sunset in Cornwall and along the South coast are incredibly beautiful and you got it right.

A captivating painting, Alan. Nature is rarely wrong with her palette, is she? (although we do give her a twist and a 'helping' hand now and again!) The complementary blues and oranges are so very well done here. It has the eerie feel of dusk too, very skilled.

Great painting Alan. I agree with Ruth about the colours, you have really captured the atmosphere of the place. Well done.

Not surprized it sold quickly either, this is another stunner. Will have to get down to that pub too, is the ale good? :)

Wow... Brill!!!

love the colours and the atmosphere - great one !

Love the colours in this very vibrant

Thank you all for the positive comments. I struggled with the foreground on this one at first, eventually spraying water at the base of the harbour wall while the paint was still damp........it worked!! The beer is excellent in the pub and I think it has one of the best views in Cornwall.

I like this too. Must have missed it before.

Acrylic 16 x 16 I did this from a sketch/painting I did in October 2007. Sitting in the pub enjoying a quiet pint before dinner with my family. You get some fantastic sunsets down in this part of Cornwall especially at this time of year. I entered this in a local exhibition titled Inside - Outside and it sold within the first week!!
