Thanks everyone for your encouraging comments which are much appreciated. Jean - This painting was done on Archers 140lb not paper which has a soft surface. The ink was applied first and the paynes grey watercolour applied layer upon layer, eventually some of the ink lines will disappear. Happy painting. Alan
