Alan ,I have just gone through your portfolio and I must say, your one hell of a painter! every one of them is a total professional job extremely well done.

Your work is really lovely. I wondered what size are your paintings and did you achieve the fine blades of grass on this one by using masking fluid ? Winter in Staithes is especially fabulous. Do they take a long time to paint ?

Absolutely stunning watercolour, the whole portfolio is amazing, some of the best watercolours I have ever seen.

They are right: this is again a beautiful watercolour. Can I ask you the same questions Louise did? I am very curious about it.

Thanks for your most kind comments. Louise and Mia I normally don't use masking fluid however on this occasion the grasses close to the boat were masked. I paint on Arches 140 lb rough paper about 15" x 10" and each painting takes 20-30 hours. Happy painting Alan

Absolutely exquisite. You should be very proud of this one. It's turned out fabulous. The watercolour technique and colours used can't be faulted. Jx
