Very atmospheric. Looks like this is going to be a very interesting painting.

Can’t wait to see the end painting, Alan. The palette is beautiful.

Impressionist colours Alan. Lovely.

It's going to be great Alan! We have had some wonderful sun rises of late, which is fabulous to see.

Beautifully loose, Alan, with a gorgeous palette, especially with regards to the sky. Coming along very nicely. Bri

Morning skies are as beautiful as dusky ones. looking forwards to seeing the final painting , Alan.

Wonderfully atmospheric, Alan,

Gorgeous pastel harmonious tones Alan, look forward to your progress on this beauty.

Looks splendid Alan and what a view

I can see why you had to get this down Alan before it disappeared. Will very much look forward to the final painting, it is shaping up to be a cracker.

I was greeted with this stunning view early Friday morning from my studio window. A fabulous sunrise with the mist from the river shrouding the distant trees. The reflections on the pool created a warm glow - I just had to get this down on canvas. These can soon disappear, so I first took a photo as a backup. I’ve generally got a palette of colours laid out so I set to, my primary aim was to capture the graduated sky colours and reflections as accurately as possible, which I managed to do before it all disappeared - the rest of the scene I could work on later using the photo if necessary. I’ll continue later today now it’s dry, and will revert to my all-important photo for the colours. I’ll be adding some texture to the sky, but I’ve got an accurate base to work over. Oil on Talens canvas board 40 x 50cm.
