Nice one Paul and if you managed to get this done in an hour your onto a winner already, see you went for the more serious look as well, it's damn difficult to relax enough when doing these sp's to get anything remotely resembling a smile, that's what I found with mine anyway, you caught yourself excellently here, lovely depth to it as well

Yea its hard to smile when your staring at yourself in a mirror.I'll try one of the wife next, see what expression I get when I'm staring intently at her for an hour.its all good practice though!!

Its incredible what you've acheived in that time. The style is really interesting that you've used on the skim, reminds me a little of portraits by Jonathon Yeo im that sense. Great portrait :)
