New foal in the valley

Let me be the first to congratulate you on another wonderful animal portrait. Love the colours, the softness you have conveyed and the expression on the foal's face. Also love the simple background of just the colour of the paper and the suggestion of a little grass at it's feet. Sensitive and very appealing.

Julia this is gorgeous! I agree with Thea, you really have captured the playfulness of the foal and the texture of its coat with the strokes of pastel.

Thank you all so much. I've done a little more work on his right front shoulder which I think looks better. I can never stop fiddling until I've got them in a frame!
