I see no faults , just a happy lane to walk along. Mmm the cat is a bit strange…but it is a cat.

So do I Chris and am glad you posted it - I kinda like the (slightly) distorted perspective, adds to its charm

Yes the cat is a bit odd looking, but who cares it’s a lovely painting, sometimes we just love a mistake , I have a few that I don’t show but won’t throw.

I like it. Well the cat has character and so does your painting 🖼 lovely painting

I also like it Chris, I think the perspective looks good.

Lovely, Chris - brings back great memories of my visits there!! Walked up a street just like this to the castle!!

I like it too Chris, the angles emphasise the narrow lanes. And I like the cat too. I like all cats though!

In spite of all your reservations, this has a charm and beauty which is so attractive. Sometimes mistakes can be advantageous and it’s enough to capture the essence and uniqueness of a place, as you have done here Chris. So glad you shared this with us.

I don't see faults at all it's got artistic content in spades Chris

Far too hard on yourself Chris. I quite like the quirky jumble of buildings along the lane and your distinctive line work makes the painting. I much prefer to admire your painting rather than one which is perfect in every way. It has character.

It has an offbeat character that appeals. It also reminds me of many places I've been where in the midday sun the streets were deserted except for mad English, like me, and...always...always... a cat stretched out soaking up the sun.

Thank you as always for your kind comments much appreciated as always. I don't feel quite as bad about this one now🤗

The perspective is going all over the place Chris, but the quirkyness of all those angles and shapes is mesmerising. Cat - no comment!

Love it as it is, I am glad you posted it.

I really like this Chris. It was great to see one of your paintings featured in the Leisure Painter this month too, congratulations.

This is a painting where I got everything wrong. My perspective is lost and my drawing skills laid bare. The cat was a late edition to this painting and you can see something is not quite right with its posture. Untill now I have kept this painting hidden from prying eyes. Why now do I show it. I'm not sure to be honest. Except I like it even with all its faults.🤗
