Spent some time fiddling with this and decided that it’s time to stop . Am I pleased with it , are we ever pleased with our  own work, I happy with it as it’s achieved what I wanted and that was to boost my confidence when using greens . As a painting in a bit disappointed as there are bit that good be better but to change then would mean fiddling around more and ending up less content . So here it is worts and all , I won’t post it on the gallery just yet , I will ad thst I feel less fearful of the green and think it’s help in this painting I’m working on along side the one I’ve just done.

You've done a good job hon, maybe lighten up the trees in the background. Just a suggestion. I think you chose a great subject. Xx
I feel your frustration Dixie! Your two photos above have come out one much darker than the other, happens all the time. Whichever pic is more accurate it looks pretty darn good to me, and it’s such a complex and amazing scene and you have brought out the darker tones really well.  Incidentally the shepherds hut painting is looking really good too. Good idea to have two on the go at the same time.
I think greens are a real challenge Paul and a difficult subject you have chosen. A really good job. The other unfinished painting looks beautiful already.
Thank you Tessa and Denise what more could I need than the nice comments of two lovely ladies.
I agree with the lovely ladies Paul I reckon you have done a cracking job of the rain forest. It has been a real challenge but you have risen to it
Well it can’t get much  better than this , three lovely ladies  definitely made my day. .

The finish painting, I’m pleased with it as a exercise in using greens a little disappointed in it as a painting but the it’s quite complex.  Adding another photo as the one in the gallery doesn’t show the details so well.

Brilliant Paul!
Vibrant work, Dixie.
Thanks Gillian and Carole .
Well, it DIDN'T go horribly wrong - this was a very complex scene, from which many would have retreated rather than try to paint.  Congratulations, and best wishes for your upcoming operation.
Thank you Robert, hopefully it won’t be a long wait.
