Indeed! I thought the last might appeal to Dixie! The old church door is at Stow on the Wold and is supposed to be the inspiration for the doors of Durin in Tolkiens Lord of the Rings.

It does appeal to me Tessa I looked at them earlier and though ooh that’s for me. Your correct about the doorway I read about it a couple of years ago apparently Tolkien was so taken with it he did some sketches and the rest , well its a book and films .
