Thank you Alan, is that Dawns monthly newsletter? Gillian thank you for your comments this is where I am at at the moment, not much more to do, going to keep the background to graphite and uni pen, I want the squirrel to be my main colour. The mount will be 9 x 7 and the image size 7 x 5
It looks absolutely brilliant Linda, I’m pleased you gave a view from further back as its give some idea of size and a great overall view.
Beautiful Linda!
Yes it is indeed Linda, this, or something similar would I’m sure make an interesting WIP feature.
I like using inktense pencils for small animal pictures, thought I would post this as a WIP. Derwent inktense pencil on 300grm Hahnemuhle watercolour paper.

Just found out how to Post a reply/ comment on the Forum !  Really like your work in progress squirrel. Super colours and shading. Will !lol forward to the finished painting.
Don't know how these multiple images have happened but I can't delete them!! However here's my update, all finished, left the background tree without colour just using graphite pencil no9 and uni pen, added a small amount of colour to the ivy as a contrast to the red squirrel. Mounted in cream 9 x 7
It’s stunning Linda, well done!
Excellent painting.
Very impressive Linda, great job!
