Looking good, Dixie. I think the blue is a good choice. I also like that purple underpainting.
I’m with Carol on this one, the purple’s beautiful! I think the light and shadow are going to be interesting here Paul.
The colours are looking great Paul, this is going to look wonderful.
Start thinking of which frame, now.  Excellent piece.
Thank you for your lovely comment, it encouraging to have them at the start of the project as it will be a slow process due to other commitments. Will post photos and updates as I go along and  get the time to paint.
I love it already! It’s a tantalising start!
Yes, looking really good.
No pressure on me then , hope it continues to be as good.
I’ve managed to squeeze in another half hour , I’m finding this very relaxing and totally absorbing half hour just melted away. What is good is having so many different parts to work on and switching colours etc prevents the getting  bored feelings setting in.
Managed a half hour this morning , concentrated on the right hand panel . I’m really pleased with how well it’s going so far. I have taken several shots to show how I stand back and look at how it going , I’ve also included a shot of the pallet I’m using.
Wrong place.

Don’t worry Sylvia it brighten up the thread anyway and it’s a lovely painting .  Added a bit more this afternoon to the central panel, a little bit of  detail to show the shapes of the peeling paper thin bark .
