Forgive me if I digress a little, but I watched a film on Netflix last night, 'The Hitman's Apprentice', and was very surprised when the characters pulled into the OK Diner, - there was no doubt it was the same diner so accurately depicted by Anth. Sadly no classic cars, nor indeed any sign of Anth.I know! Watched it last year, I’d completely forgotten they’d filmed there. It also features in an episode of Vera :)

Wasn't going to say this until you'd finished working on it - but yellow, especially yellow paint on a machine, is incredibly difficult to get right: it can be darkened with violet (or a darker yellow) in glazes; but so many people use black, and end up with a particularly vile green. Blue, green, black, red, even silver, are all much easier than yellow: but - you've done it! So it's safe to say this now...

Ah yes Robert, I’ve seen that myself - adding black to yellow does give that unpleasant camo-type green doesn’t it! I would normally use purple but this time I used a combination of primary yellow, neutral grey and raw umber, with a touch of red to regain the warmth of the colour. This gave it enough body that I could get even tones without too much drama. Last time I paint a yellow car in the dark hopefully!

Just the roof and some highlights and neon and it’s there.
The back wheel took a while, but it’s working pretty well. Just the windows to finish now, then frame it and away!
