Cheers Lew! The neon was fun but time-consuming, the background has ended up considerably more fiddly than the star of the show :)
That’s the Diner walls finished, along with the neon reflections in the screen and the indicator: It’s all about procrastination now…need to tackle the yellow bodywork but not confident of the opacity of the main colour I’m using.
All I can say is wow a master at work.
Cheers Dixie! I’d never describe myself as such but you feel free 😁
Apologies for the naff pic, couldn’t get it positioned anywhere today without glare! Got the side window in and finally bit the bullet and restarted that awful yellow bodywork: I’ve given it a primary yellow ground and I’ll work over that once dry (which should be in about ten minutes in this heat!)
It’s stunning Anth you have done a superb job despite the heat .
That's not naff...it's brill.
Thanks both 👍 really need to pull my finger out now, want this finished before we go on our jollies beginning of August.
Finally got the courage up to tackle the yellow bodywork! Front end’s pretty much finished, just a couple of headlights to add once dry: Also got a start on the Diner windows - feels like it’s coming together!

Superb Anth , don’t know why you fret over it ohh yes I do I would be exactly the same .
I think it’s the way I work Paul - because I don’t build the colour up in glazes, when I can’t get the strength and opacity I want/need, it phases me. Getting there now though, although I’m discovering that it needs to be a lot darker than anticipated to work!
Forgive me if I digress a little, but I watched a film on Netflix last night, 'The Hitman's Apprentice', and was very surprised when the characters pulled into the OK Diner, - there was no doubt it was the same diner so accurately depicted by Anth.  Sadly no classic cars, nor indeed any sign of Anth.
