Look forward to seeing progress on this one Malcolm, love your railway paintings! You were working a lot looser last years, out of curiosity which do you prefer? To be honest Anthony, most of my work is now the 'looser' style which I really enjoy, but I do have this serious 'problem' with detail, where I can't help myself (as you know). I think there is a place for both styles. I am finding that the loose style is easier and much quicker, with some subjects than others, which I like as you get to see the results much faster. I suspect that whilst I continue to develop my looser style I will still do this super detailed work as well, albeit on a lesser frequency, as they take so long to complete. We shall see!!! Hope all this waffle makes sense. Malcolm

I don't know about anyone else, but there are times when you say to yourself 'this needs something else' while working on a painting. I did this yesterday while working on the front area. I have now added the driver standing at the front, and I think that this was the missing something.

Some progress made up to last night. A while since I have done work like this, so a nice change.
