I also agree! Stick with what works!
I’m not big on detail in my paintings as you will have all noticed, it just doesn’t work for me personally...
We all have different ways of approaching painting, I start by blocking in my darkest tones, and I prefer to work over the whole painting, rather than completing individual areas.
I suppose it was how I was taught many moons ago now, but its worked for me, although still a work in progress!

Thanks everyone for the feedback. It's more about putting details in the far distance, you can't see them but you know they are there, the eye tells you one thing and you're brain tells you another. Don't know if you have read ' Drawing on the right side of the brain ' by Betty Edwards but it gives a lot of food for thought..
