Thanks Majorie and Silvia. Managed to get some more work done on this - jobs, socialising and keeping fit get in the way of painting a bit! Lots of things going wrong with it though. I noticed, after looking at the photo and painting side by side, his ear is too wide, eyes too high and leg too thin. Good job I’m not using watercolour 😀

I've spent most of this next session correcting and improving the proportions. I am now happy that I've got it more or less correct, now moving on to the cushions.
