Good progress so far D.  Goodness me! 10 or 15 glazes... that’s far too many and you’ll lose the effect, four should be adequate to achieve the vibrancy and luminosity that you’re after. But try more by all means, after all, you’re only experimenting.

Thanks Alan, that's give me more of an idea.
Third glaze on today and I think it's taking a bit of shape on. I've put the 3 together for comparison.
That certainly is starting to look good Denise, looks to me like your doing a good job of it.
It's working well, Denise.  Thanks for grouping them together, they look great.  I like to glaze, but have to be careful with watercolour.
Good job so far, I would leave the left side now and concentrate on building up the shadow side - but it’s your decision!
I was thinking that Alan. the lights on that left side of the pear look just right and what I want to do is build more on the right of the pear to get a deeper, rich colour that comes through a bit more and try to make it look like it's blending more. It's been a good exercise so far that I'm enjoying.
It's really interesting seeing them all together Denise.
It's going well, Denise.
The pear is finished I think. I've put the stages all together. I have to say, I really enjoyed it. In fact, I loved it. Now it's off my mind, I can get on with oil painting and learning about oil painting. The pear might not be up to much as it was a quick sketch just for the purpose of trying the glazing but I now have some idea what it's all about. When I get some experience I will look in depth at glazing as it's something I think I would want to apply to painting when I get the sufficient experience behind me. It was a good exercise and I got much from it. It is a long process so you have to learn to be patient along the way.  It's like watching paint dry.
Excellent work Denise it has been interesting watching it develop.
That’s marvellous Denise, its been very interesting to watch this develop.  Lovely glow to the dark side too, quite a magical effect you’ve achieved.
