Don't know about anyone else, but the chat logo isn't appearing on my PC.  The demo says it should appear in the top bar.  It isn't.  I've tried logging out, and logging back in. Perhaps I'm being thick.

I’ve not checked on my laptop, but the speech bubbles do appear on my iPhone. However, you do have to be ‘following’ an artist, before you can participate in the conversation!

Something I'm not getting.  I've tried to see the option with artists I follow.  Clicked on their gallery...no sign of the chat feature, only the usual option...email this artist.  Opened up a painting in case that was required, still no chat option. (I'm not at this moment trying to chat, I was just looking for the option.)

Just found out I'm not getting notifications about comments.  I've made no alterations.  Must be a glitch.

Lew, have you checked your spam/junk folder? All my received comments from posted work have been landing in there for several months now.

Thanks Dawn.  I will hang fire on that for the moment, in case I'm in the midst of a senior moment and don't know it. The new chat icon isn't on my menu bar as described in the video.  When I open 'my account', and the messages section, I see the chat symbol there with a number of messages on it.  I see it's notifying me about comments made on my gallery posts.  So that explains why I'm not being notified about comments by email.  (I don't recall seeing this mentioned in your info on the chat system.) I attempted a chat with an artist I was already following, but nothing happened when I clicked the message.  Is it necessary to renew the fact that I'm following people to set this thing up?

Here are a few points which should help to clarify things for everyone: Once a day the system will send out a digest email to anyone who has unread messages from another artist or a notification about a new gallery post. This is currently setup to go out at 17:00 but unfortunately this didn’t happen last night due to a bug. This has been fixed this and the first one has just been sent out. This should happen automatically each afternoon from now on.   Once an unread message has been included in a digest email, it will not be included again. In short, you will only get a digest email when new activity has occurred on that specific day and they haven’t already read the message via the website. The comments in the gallery emails have also now been replaced by the new system - everything will now appear in the one place in your account and by email once a day unless you opt out f the email service. You don't need to renew any artists you are already following in order for notifications about an artist’s content to start working, although they might wish to do this to prompt the artist they wish to start a conversation.   The speech bubble messaging icon will only appear in the menu bar once a user is logged in. If anyone has any further questions let me know and I will do my best to help!
