Thanks Paul, I always appreciate your support and everyone else....
I'm 59 Now and was about 47 or 48 when I first started with Digital.... I wanted to learn it and I also had to switch because traditional mediums are too expensive.. I don't make a lot of money and can't afford all those paints and blank canvases.. Also Oil Paint and Acrylic is messy and smelly and the smell gives me Migraine Headaches... That is not a problem with Digital painting...
I don't have a problem with digital art. I think it is a specialist area. I don't really understand it. I've been painting and drawing traditionally for almost three years now so, still very much at a learning stage. I couldn't produce anything to the standard of that, that is produced digitally. So I guess I am wondering if you did have the traditional materials, would your work look the same. I don't really understand how much of your own skill goes into digital artwork compared to a traditional artist and I know they are totally different. I just wondered. I also suffer with severe migraine triggered by light, smells, computers, TV'S and such. Digital artwork is not for me but you do produce some fantastic pieces.
Eric, interesting explanation of the tools you use to create your artwork.  I’m fascinated by digital art and love your beautiful fantasy creations.  Have you made any videos showing how you go about creating them?  Would be interesting to see how you start and watch their development.  If not, perhaps you could post some images under this forum’s Work in Progress section showing how you start off and develop an artwork? I’m sure others would also be interested to see it.  (Look forward to seeing your male Elf Warrior!)

No Jenny I have not made any videos.. I don't have the equipment to do that, nor could I afford It, nor do I really know how they go about it for Youtube and such. They try to Monetize everything... Their are a lot of other digital artist on Youtube who do however... One of the best and most famous is Aaron Blaise... I watch his stuff a lot.. He was one of the Top Illustrators for Disney... I suppose I could take some still photos  some time and post those, but I don't think they would be helpful to anyone..  The techniques I use are the same as any other traditional medium Artist.. In the same steps.... Pencil Sketch, refine, lay in base color, add detail, refine, etc etc...
Decided to delete what I just wrote and instead simply say I have no problems Eric's lovely fantasy art in the gallery.  Before I open the same can of worms that has already been shut.  Eric: You could just take screenshots and upload to work in progress. I'm sure loads would be interested.

Eric, there is a tips and techniques section. Maybe you could put an article on there. Seok had an article on Chinese brush work which I read in the early hours this morning. I really did learn something from it. Something about digital art would be good in this section as it would give an overview and a better understanding for people who don't really know much about it. It would also be good for those who want to learn a bit more, from your tips and pointers.
I am feeling rather sad...plus I have a crap dose of shingles right now so probably feeling a bit braver....I hope Norrette sees this I have tried to message her but I can't. I understand both of you ,I have always enjoyed Eric's paintings and am interested in how he has achieved them. Your sexy fairy is beautifully done and she is very pretty.  But I understand Norrette comments  they are not from a prudish point of view but were said with concern for younger viewers .   A couple of years ago there were postings from someone that were salacious and quite nasty....not even well painted.  It would be sad to see anyone leave this site ,so please don't.   If you want to throw a few bricks at me then please do.   Am back off to bed with Sam ro cuddle.
Yeah Denise I Could Do That.. If People have specific questions or questions about Krita....
Eric, just had a look at one of Aaron Blaise’s videos on creating digital art - interesting watching how he progresses from a pencil sketch to the final thing  - have a better understanding of the process now. Sylvia, sorry to hear you’re still feeling poorly.
