Am I the only one affected by the messages page not working? The list of conversations takes forever to come up (if it does at all) and if you click on a conversation, it does not open .. just the rotating dots . 
With Sarah, Phil, Ellen, Rose the dentist, and the granddaughter whose name I forget.

Not sure what the messages page is - if you mean messaging individual members of the Forum, you have to Follow them first: but that probably isn't what you mean, because the system should tell you! Over to Dawn, then.....

I’ve had an issue earlier where I didn’t receive notification that a comment had been made on my post.. obviously I had ticked all the boxes on my notification set up - anyway, it is now working again!

That's interesting, because mine hasn't worked for a while - it doesn't matter, because I always go back to the forum to bask in any praise that might be forthcoming, and it's probably my fault anyway. So many things seem to be.................

No Robert, it’s when you click on the little speech bubbles at the top so you can see notifications of people you follow having made a new posting, or you receive notification of new comments on your postings.  Seems to be running at a snail’s pace if at all.

I’m talking galley post Robert! So to check if you have received any comments, one has to potentially trawl through a great number of pages….unless of course, you are fortunate to have been selected for the Home Page. However, all is up and running again as it should!

I think it has stopped working - it says 'loading' but isn't and I know I have left a message there - can Dawn look into it please.  It's when you sign into your account and click on the messages box top left.

I often find the same, that it sticks on ‘loading’ - when that happens I usually bypass it and go straight to the gallery. I do find the site can be very slow generally some days.  Find also when loading an image to the gallery it always just hangs and never says the upload is finished, but if you then go to the gallery it’s always there.  Just got used to that now.

I have just used the messaing service to send a message to Alan. I will wait to hear if he receives it or not.  I have however selected to follow Andrew and Heather and they are not currently coming up as options in my list as you will both need to follow me too for this to work. Maybe you could follow paintersonline and we can test this further?
