So clever, and beautifully drawn, Linda and Tessa :) I guessed Oliver Twist okay but I've never read (or watched) Great Expectations. I expect I'm going to struggle with this - I read an lot but haven't read many of the classics and the stuff I read is probably not well enough known. Will be interested to see what other books people illustrate.

I wouldn’t worry about that Margaret. I must admit I picked Oliver Twist partly because it was an easy option, I wouldn’t say it was really my favourite book, but couldn’t think of anything else that I could do a cover for! Besides you can always give a clue and it’ll be more of a challenge for us guessing. Mine was a bit obvious!

Hi Forum Friends. This month's Challenge is definitely going to be a challenge. Though a challenge keeps me feeling healthy and fighting for life so I am going to try to get a sketch out for this challenge.
I wanted to ask if it is alright for me to post-digital sketches as well. The reason I ask is that on Friday my mobile decided it had enough of life and died so I have had to order some better surgery for it to get it up and running again. Besides that, it needs a new charging dock. This mobile is a real PITA, but that is life, we do not realize how much we rely on technology until your mobile phone dies on you. Then you run around like a mad hatter trying to remember all the numbers that you did not write down in a little black book.
So getting back to my question, can I post digital sketches till I get my mobile up and running, please.

No idea what the book is but the illustration is fabulous Lewis! I suspect I should know - is it an Alasdair McLean book? (sorry, I've put the same comment on the Gallery) ?Humphrey Bogart - if I'm wrong it is my lack of knowledge of filmstars rather than your drawing.

I haven’t got a favourite really, I love all books....apart from biographies, autobiographies and romances, except for the classical romances.....other than that I’ll read anything. I don’t watch the telly, so reading and art is what I do in my spare time in the evenings.
Most of my favourites are from my younger days, books that took me to another place and time, on adventures and mysteries. So I’ve started with this one, not a difficult title to work out, I still love reading this.
Lewis that’s tremendous, I can only think of titles like.....the sea wolf, cockleshell hero’s, the cruel sea etc.
