It looks as though you may have the monthly challenges all sewn up without me having to do anything! However, here is a challenge for March for anyone who'd like to take part: be inspired by your favourite novel and let's see if we can guess the title from the painting. Hope you like this one, Dawn

Good to get additional challenges that stretch us a bit away from our comfort zones, Dawn!  Saying that, I have no idea what I will do!

Not a problem at all Stan! I'm using images from these challenges on our e-shots each month. I'm happy to start using them from alternative threads though!

Stan, the more challenges we get on the forum, the more people will pick up their medium and contribute. This way they can't say, I don't read books, so not for me. They might think hey why not have a go at creating a picture without a brush, that's just my cup of tea. (your Idea Stan about no brushes) anything to stop me being lazy is a good idea.

Hi Stan.  PO L team have done a set monthly challenge for about a year so no your not stepping on toes, maybe yours has just been absorbed into the general threads... it’s a good idea to keep your thread updated as they do vanish.

This POL post had slipped out of sight, so thought I’d resurrect it now that it’s March!  Will be interesting to see what everyone comes up with - I’m not a great reader of novels (mostly have shelves full of non-fiction) but will try to do something for this challenge!

Saw this on the gallery first.  Super drawing Linda.  As was said on the gallery comments....the book has to be Great Expectations, and this the doomed Miss Haversham.  I'd forgotten about this challenge.  Must give it a go.

Thanks Lew, I thought this would be just up your street with all your colourful character drawing, its a great challenge one that I will be doing more of.
