That's a great painting, Jenny. I'd be hanging that on my wall. A very imaginative image Marjorie, marvellous work.
This is my 3th contribution to the February Forum Challenge. I used my dancing pinguin from an earlier Christmas card drawing and adapted him to the modern times. He was so pleased to be painted again, it made him dance!!!! :)
Very ice, Mia, nice to see such a happy image, what more could a penguin ask for :)
Respectfully, (as I'm understanding juxtaposition) it's all about almost opposites Sylvia.Things/items etrc you wouldn't associate with each other. It can be almost anything that's glaringly wrong in effect, like a Brass band practise room next door to a library, or A sex shop next door to a junior school, an undertakers next door to an old folks home etc. I'll be happy to be corrected if this is wrong. It well could be..😆
Well, there you have it, Sylvia, the Pen is mightier than the SWORD. I think that would be a good a advert for our country - have a Whale of a time in Wales... come on dive in :) If you don't mind Sylvia I'd like to hijack one of the suggestions I made earlier in the thread.

Things have been a bit hectic at home for a variety of reasons, so I've had little time for painting or browsing POL. What an amazing response in this thread. We're still in January and the January challenge is long gone, and you're all power-housing through the February challenge. By the time I get round to doing something we'll be in the March challenge. How time flies. Great inventiveness displayed on the latest challenge. A lot more interesting than log cabins.
I think this challenge has gone way beyond the 'J' word, Ellen, and is taking on a party atmosphere of 'lets just get in there and enjoy the moment' And as Jenny has said its addictive, I agree. Brill thread.

Without a doubt, Marjorie.
I've at last added my 'go' to the thread, whether it's right I don't know! Sylvia, I like the way you dumped England lol us Welsh have to stick together!
Waytogo, Margaret. A lovely combination, peace and/or war. A marvellous symbol for the world we live in.
Title- Progress.

I'd better come clean about this one. I drew the spaceman over a month ago. Events since then have driven the rest of the idea out of my head, or perhaps it's old age. Anyway, I thought I'd make it fit this juxta thing. My spaceman on his way to Mars ends up in Acacia Avenue...you can't trust those Sat-navs. Not as original as many of the others in this theme, but it fits.
