Thank you, Alan, so pleased to read that. I don't usually put images I have posted in the forum into the gallery, I'll have a think about it :)
At the moment I'm looking at your work, to place a comment about it. Hope I hit the mark as we all have our own thoughts about other peoples work. I hope other will post their thoughts as this, I feel is as intriguing as the images presented.
Thank you, maggyn. :)

There's plenty of time, Marjorie :)
Alan, you may have just 'knocked' this one up, as you say. However, I see the juxtaposition as doubt and certainty. Both surgeon and the tree could be you. The tree a representation of strength, and the surgeon delving deep within to find that inner strength. There are times when we do indeed doubt ourselves, no matter how confident we are.

Love all of them so far. Being a nerd and having found this I suppose I will have to think of something too. From Collins dictionary
variable noun
The juxtaposition of two contrasting objects, images, or ideas is the fact that they are placed together or described together, so that the differences between them are emphasized.

Tessa, there's nothing difficult about Juxtaposition - contrast or difference. as long as they're not too closely related.
Your colours are a contrast, although they are related because they are a pigment, but the juxtaposition here is the bird wanting to be blue instead of red. The jux, here is the bird and the colour.
Look forward to seeing yours, Gudrun.
