Well the challenge for April is reflections. When I first came up with ideas for every month of 2020 I had April showers and puddle reflections in mind. In light of the changed world we are living in, it could be more poignant than that. I will leave it to you to make what you will of it. Keep safe everyone.

This Piece of art, is one of the first drawings I produced, It is also one of the oldest things I own 1976 Genesis released Trick of the Tail, the album art work just seemed to open up a whole new world for me. I still have all the drawings I made from that album cover. This one the song is called Ripples and it is all about reflections. I will post an Original piece hopefully, Later. But this picture still plays a big part in my life today.

Mirror mirror on the wall...! Fascinating idea and well executed Alan.
Just back from walking the dog for about an hour, so quiet out there, hardly saw a soul, very strange. The few people I passed were practically diving into hedges to keep the two metres away. Incidentally the Farming prog on radio 4 this morning referred to two metres as being the length of a cow, that’s presumably for country folk who who aren’t quite used to metres! Made me smile.

As this is all about reflections, I tried to do a painting of the iron bridge at Telford, with its reflection in the Severn which runs underneath, didn't quite come out as I had in my mind. So it had me reflecting overthe photos I took last easter, as we spent a fantastic week there. We stoped in a room right opposite the Iron bridge, it looked out over the bridge and gorge. We spent all week walking around the different attractions, museums in the area. Such a contrast to this year,. January Iron Bridge was in danger of flooding, if not flooded, it was very close. Now the poor residents have to put put up with all the restrictions which are in place now.

Tessa, your comment about people practically diving into hedges made me laugh - I’m mostly managing to avoid people on my early morning dog walk, but I wish the (mostly male) joggers would be more considerate, they can appear quite suddenly and pass far too close for comfort. Re the April challenge, Alan’s interesting mirror painting reminded me that I’d done a mirror reflection a few years ago, it was based on a Norman Rockwell painting. Good to see all the different interpretations of this challenge.
