What on earth is the point?!!
Paul, it’s a tricky one. Nobody really knows whether to say anything. I think the fact that the person wasn’t admitting to it being a photo ( as all the others are) and giving the impression that it was their own painting is not on.
It was immediately obvious to me that this was a manipulation of a photo! A blurred filter has been added… all of three seconds work! But passed off repeatedly by the poster as a painting’. Not even a digital painting! A painting… It stands out a mile to me but judging by some comments others were more generous with their response.

I must have missed that one or thought it didn't look right.
Just seen this.   I have left Michael a comment.   Especially as he is new to art.
I feel a bit uncomfortable having basically challenged another artist about there work , the reason I asked him if it was a photo in the first place was to give him the opportunity to say it was and how he had changed it . I would like to make it clear that I’m not setting myself up to challenge anyone and I do accept digital artwork as been a good thing if done honestly, but it the very deliberate misleading that made me cross . I don’t want people thinking that in policing their artwork and they need to be careful about what they post or the boggy man will get them. Just be honest about it that’s all , I would much rather look at someone’s very poor attempt at a painting than and a manipulated photo al least the poor attempt even if it’s a a copy of a famous painting it is their work. Please do just continue posting you artwork and this grumpy old man will enjoy it .
My comment Paul was fairly innocuous hopefully  Michael  might realise what a lovely world of exploration there is out  there with brushes and paint.  No I don't think you were in anyway wrong or out of order.  SeverL times I have looked at work and said nasty words in my head, This site i# for people who genuinely make art.
I have also made a comment on the post.
I must say, I feel that a human being with a serious condition that affects cognitive and muscle control has felt the need to leave. This is very sad.
I have read his message Denise and sent him a personal message saying thst I regret his leaving the site . I suggest he did his own work and continue to post it on the gallery as his personal efforts would be seen and appreciated. He made his own decision to leave the site , and I agree that it’s sad he felt the need to do so  and yes I do feel a bit guilty.
Have also added a message , it is sad  to see him go.
The thing is Paul, this might be the only personal effort he can manage with his condition and imagine being that disabled person reading all this.
