Robert, think the difference is that you’re using a PC and are, as you say, pasting the image into your text. Using an iPad, and presumably an iPhone as well, you actually have to upload the image, and it’s using the upload function on the forum which is causing the problems.

I've just posted this to the Gallery - the system checked that the connection was secure, then posted it. I can't work out what's going on here - I'm using a desktop pc - are the rest of you on Ipads or whatever? Can't think of other explanations, but as Alan says, if it's a gremlin in the works we're stuck with it until next week. If you have a desktop or laptop pc, however - try uploading/posting with that, maybe?

I can upload to the gallery from my iPad, it’s just the forum causing problems. Never had the message before, though, when uploading to the gallery that it was checking for a secure connection before posting. They’ve obviously been doing some work on the site - I’ve also noticed that the POL lettering style has changed on my favourites listing for the site.

Jenny I have the same problem, and received the same message earlier he posted a painting on the gallery. I might try up loading a old one to see if works .
I have just uploaded a painting to the gallery successfully , but the same one will not upload to this thread . I did get the message say it was checking for a secure link.

Is the name of this company actually R&F, or is R& an abbreviation, like WN for Windsor and Newton? If it is an abbreviation what is the real name? I've tried looking it up but can't find it called anything except R&F which seems strange to me.
Hopefully Alan the gremlins will soon be defeated and you'll be able to upload the two paintings you referred to, one oil bar and the other oil pastel.
