Thought I'd try uploading to the gallery. It's been revamped hasn't it...says checking secure link...not noticed that before. It's still showing the upload delay...takes an age. When I open another tab my pic IS there, whilst the first tab shows it's loading...the first tab is now showing 'timed out' error code 524. But my pic IS in the gallery.
It's dem dare gremlins again.

If the gremlin isn't evicted, I could make money here, selling you all desktop pc's. I always said that newest of new technology was a hostage to fortune, a risk, a step too far ... (in fact, I've just bought a second-hand Ipad: haven't dared use the damn' thing yet). Plus, and this has just occurred to me, I could flood the Gallery with my own stunning works, while those of you on Ipads and Iphones and the like look on in frustration and jealousy!
I offer this suggestion as an incentive to the technical team to get on with enabling you all - some alternatives are, after all, worse than death.

This is interesting. I'm daft enough to post a daily image to twitter of some or other work of art. I was trying to load next weeks pieces (from my tablet) all under the 1.5mb limit, to find they wouldn't load. I had to reduce the size to less than 0.5 mb to upload.
I do know my tablet android software was updated last week. How about your ipads, folks?

You could quite easily grow to hate updates - there's so often a compatibility problem; I'm smug about the problem right now, with my Windows desktop pc, but it could just as easily happen to me. Microsoft has taken to advising me to upgrade, but - may I be entirely frank and manly in my honesty? I be afraid to....
It might bite me......

Robert, I am sure there are those who would be very happy if you did flood the Gallery with your own stunning works.Your cheque is in the post. I have a long painting of a local feature in mind, once I get down to the site to sketch and photograph it - but the weekend has intervened, with its concomitant eating and drinking. Quite a lot of drinking - well: it's hot.... This problem for others has caused me to visit my account to discover how much I have NOT shown before; some of it perhaps is best kept concealed, but I've found half a dozen so far which I could inflict on you all: only a natural sympathy for your sensibilities is stopping me. This is interesting (to me, anyway) because in order to see if the Gallery was still accepting images, I posted a - what? - 20 year old painting; it has awoken in me a realization of the ways in which I've changed in the last 20 years; not always for the better, either! Well worth doing. Some of it, you know - though I says this, I say I says this, as shouldn't - isn't at all bad; it's just taken me a long time to realize it. We do change, over the years; some of it is onwards and upwards, but not necessarily all of it - much of it will reflect our relative youth at the time, when we weren't afraid to try something different. Anyway, I'm riffling through my old files, and may inflict a few more on you.
