Well, if pulling oldies out of the cupboard is OK, here's one from my past, Hong Kong Harbour from the Star Ferry Pier.
I know that view very well Tony…good memories.
A great theme for moody atmospheres, with some wonderful examples. Watercolour on Two Rivers blue denim paper….
Looks good Fiona.    Blue denim paper???? New one on me.
Its worked well on this gorgeous paper! I’ve got a bundle of it as you know, just lovely to paint on. Blue denim dye Sylvia!
Enlightenment   please…
Two Rivers Paper Mill were asked by a company to produce a paper that was similar to the colour of blue denim… Could have been a bookbinding company, I don’t recall! I believe that they actually used the dye extracted from blue denim to colour the paper. They had several small batches left over from the run and it was offered to Joe Public! Fiona and I both bought a pack of full imperial size sheets! NB: probably not a bookbinding company because it’s quite thick paper… 200lb perhaps? They do make the endpapers for bookbinding companies which produce quality manuscript books etc.
