What fabulous drawings....brill.
This is my entry to the October challenge: a pen and ink drawing of a cherry or apple blossom (don’t know what it is). I started immediately with pen and ink, no pencil drawing first. Picture from Pixabay.
Your blossom is beautiful Mia, as are all the previous sketches. Such diverse styles and applications, really interesting to see. Here’s another in walnut ink, some mark making with washes, it’s after a sketch by Rembrandt……I think, I’ve been looking at both Rembrandt and DaVinci, so it could be either!

Great drawings Everyone. I've done another sketch and this is a place I have loved since I was a very small child. It is around the corner from me. I haven't used a ruler, hence all the wonky lines and it's not to scale, just a quick sketch to get the essence of it. The Mersey Toll booth, designed by Herbet James Rose.
That’s a cracking drawing Denise……I like wonky lines!
Yes I like the wonky lines as well rulers are verbatim in my book unless you are an architect. .your walnut ink looks great Fiona I must look into that.   That's a lovely sketch Mia .you are as fond of your flowers as I a .

I'm in awe at the amazing sketches already on show in this thread. Though I don't feel worthy I hope it's okay if I add one or two of my own. I've often heard of Inktober but never taken part. This is a sketch of Lindisfarne Castle from a photo I took the last time I was there.
John, you've no need to be so self-deprecating - now you stop that, you hear?  It's a good drawing, of course you're worthy.  There are always legions of people just waiting to criticize, but you don't need to join them! Denise, Fiona, Mia - great drawings, all so different.  I wouldn't have any shame about using a ruler, though I don't, and my lines are often a-wandering away... provided that doesn't get ludicrous, and just show an ignorance of perspective, this adds character.  I confess though that I sometimes use pencil before ink, even if only to establish the very broadest outline form.
I agree with Robert, John. Your drawings are excellent and there is no reason for you not to be posting them.
John if I can get away with putting stuff in here and passing it off as sketching your  certainly should be on here .  Pen and oil pastel, I very rarely use oil pastel thought I’d give them an outing along with the pens A5 sketch pad .

Robert, Denise and Paul, I had typed a reply based around my lack of self-belief but decided this was neither the time nor place so instead will simply say "Thank you".
