Hello everyone, I'm a new girl here and love the idea of a monthly challenge to get you doing something different! I love all the variation in styles here too - it's inspiring! I know the idea is to do something now so will have a go in the week or so we have left..in the meantime here is a sketchbook painting I did several years ago... hope it looks OK -  am a bit of a numpty with technology, so apologies if not!

I should have said - this is the first time I've posted in the forum and it took me a while to figure out how to do it. The iris painting is one I did a while ago but I'll make sure to show new work next time now I think I know how!

Hi everyone, I’ve been following this forum with pleasure for some time, but this is the first time I’ve felt able to contribute. I’m following an online drawing course (I have almost no experience of wet media) but this is my second effort at oil pastels and I love the broad treatment it affords. I’m not sure if the colour excludes it from the challenge but I’ve seen violets this colour too! Everybody’s work is so accomplished and beautiful; thank you for sharing it.

Some superb artwork of   lovely  flowers .  Hello Gillian that is such a lovely colourful flower you should but it on the gallery as well as here more people will see it then.
