I think it means Expert at using the forum, not at painting. I know, because I used to be one, or at least had the tag.
I had no idea that this topic would take off in the way it did. It has been quite interesting to see all your comments and I would like to thank you all for contributing. It brightened up a dull Sunday in Lockdown. AsIt seems we are all perplexed about why some picture get so many views and others not. Whether or not the statistics are useful is questionable, but at least we have a better understanding of them. Out of the 65K vies that I have had, I have no idea if any have had any consequence other than from comments made either in the forum or in the gallery.
As a consequence, I will change the way I title my pictures and use words that I think will be searched for frequently, like "Free". So when I get round to painting over my old unsuccessful picture of a whale, I will call it "Free Willy" and see if it attracts more attention.
Also as a consequence, I like the suggestion of starting another topic for our favourite pictures, that we have produced and perhaps say why. I know there is a competition for favourite pictures at the moment, but not everyone wants to enter the competition.
Quite chuffed with that as it’s one of my favourite non-car paintings.
Have no idea what my forum status is, looking forward to finding out when I post this :)
