Posting this again.   I have had it glowering at me for over a week.  I have added the Cow parsley and buttercups ,I think it needs more foliage at the haze.   So I will let it torment me for a while longer…it have discovered I’m in good company with Judi Dench.
I do love your faffings they looks so good , no you are wrong Judy Dench is in very good company with you .  I do like the changes you have made but don’t faff to much or you will not like it as it will be too fussy .
I like the changes you have made Sylvia.
It's great.  Inspiring!
Great faffing!
That’s kind of you all…it’s still sitting glowering at me….there is some fine work I know needs doing…let’s see, but I truly appreciate your comments.
I like this as it is Sylvia. Your flowers and foliage are quite detailed, personally I would hesitate to add anything else. It looks finished to me.
You have a lovely use of colour and form Sylvia. Keep faffing girl! xxxx
Great strong colours and vitality, it looks as alive as the flowers in the garden - pity to overwork it.
It looks finished to me as well, Sylvia, lovely just as it is.
Well, you and I are the same: never leave things alone .... you could run the risk of overworking this, but - I think you know best: if you think it needs more work, it needs more work!   I rarely know when to stop, so what can I tell you?   I think it'd be a fine painting if you stopped now, but knowing you, you probably won't.  So do what we both encourage others to do - put it to one side for a while, and then come back to it. And yes, you and Judi Dench, and my late aunt, have the same trouble - and what a complete sod it is!  Best wishes with the wretched thing.
Thanks for your lovely positive comments,  ,Stupidly because it’s large and landscape I can’t see it all in one unless I photograph it…grr. You are right Robert I will keep niggling at it.  I know my plants well so know that the Cow parsley really should have a stalk !,,,,, I can’t do it with a brush so I am contemplating a cheat method, using a felttip pen…stupidly I gave a pile away to the kids down the road.   Will it be cheating or compromise?
