No such thing as cheating in art it called using different techniques and can be multimedia but o call it doing what’s needed to get the job done .
So many people think using pens, a rule, or anything that help a cheat bulls- x x, as we get older it harder to do straight lines freehand, and in many cases see a small are so why nit use something to aid you.
Many a famous artist use different techniques to achieve their work and are now hailed a genius etc , just go for it Sylvia and do what’s need to continue with your love of painting.
Don tell anyone you have used the pens no one will be the wiser , and I won’t say anything honest.
