Excellent paintings and drawings everyone! Love your tree Tessa and what a piece of history Linda. Lovely to see the postie in action along with fruit, veg and shell fish....all washed down with whatever Richard is having. Here are a few pen sketches of my mate Billy (the crow)
Love the skull Fiona, hope that’s not a sign of how he ended up?!

Great birds Fiona
Thanks very much Tessa and Richard. No Tessa, not my Billy anyway, I’m always picking bits and pieces up when I’m out walking, I think it could be a crow or rook skull though.....I’m not an expert.
The bird might be a Rook or Crow , but you sound like a magpie, always picking thing up when out? Makes the mind boggle, I can imagine you coming in and saying just look what I’ve found out there.
It’s the artist in you Fiona, always looking, always curious!
You could be right Paul and Tessa . I pick up brightly coloured snail shells, I have mugs full of different feathers, some I use in paintings for scratching out or even painting with. Skulls, stones, pieces of bark, bits of sheep fleece, even old birds nests....studio is a tip! Lol. I’m sure I’m not alone in this habit......?
I have a collection of shells from any beach I visit, can’t resist them! Also if I’m doing a Plein Air painting I will usually take home a twig, a stone, some leafs etc to help finish off.
Just got back home and checked up on all the great sketches! Crikey, arboretums ( is that the plural?), prams, skulls and birds, drinks, veg, oysters, urban views, posties,, daffs, and the mention of shells! I've got loads of those, so thankyou Tessa for pointing me in the direction when time is short. BP exhibition was fascinating, as usual, though the winner was not my choice. You can see the exhibitors online. Exhibition is worth a visit ( and the cafe too ) - National Portrait Gallery of Scotland.

Did you manage the Turner exhibition whilst in Edinburgh Marjorie? I was thinking of taking a trip up to see it, missed it last year.
One other thing I meant to mention about the oil bars, they are very useful in monoprinting....apparently, which I like the sound of. Less messy than inks and tube paint and a good range of colours. Oopps posted this on the wrong thread....sorry. Tried to delete but I can’t find a way to get rid of it.
