That is a lovely sketch, Linda - beautiful soft colours.    This sketch is a case of two birds with one stone!   This is a timed sketch (just over 20 mins) for the Thursday #PortraitChallenge on Twitter from @StudioTeaBreak - a bit of fun every Thursday (does not need to be timed, can be any media including digital, can be "inspired by" rather than a copy) - copied from The Persian Prophetess, detail from Hartmann Schedel's Nuremberg Chronicle woodcut 1493 - my version is using a PITT artist pen.

Back to weekly class today so started a painting of Watchet harbour area from a sketch done when visiting there over a year ago, and this is a sketch of the painting so far from that sketch!
It helps to add a photo!
Blimey the pages on this thread are going by so quickly, if I’ve missed anyone’s sketches .......sorry. Do digital sketches count? This is a rough digital sketch for my load of scrap project.....
Of course digital sketches count!   I might do one at some stage too - haven't done any digital stuff for a while.  Nice colourful sketch, Fiona, interested to see what you produce at the end of the project.  Yes, the pages are going really quickly, I keep on missing stuff too - so my apologies as well.
Love that one Margaret, a really good sketch, great ideas coming, like that painting of a painting Tessa, and Fiona that's so different again!!
All the best Lew - to both of you! Hope things take a turn for the better.  Amazing how all the sketches are so different. I'm in Edinburgh at the moment, overnight, to visit the BP exhibition. Just got in after a meal, sketched the nuts I'd opened earlier from the minibar ( though wasn't daft enough to open the wine...that's just for sketching). This sketch is a bit clumsy, put it down to the 2 glasses of wine I had at the pub!
Thanks Linda :)   Nicely sketched Marjorie - hope you enjoy the exhibition, I hadn't realised it had already opened - and that the weather is a bit better in Edinburgh for you tomorrow than it has been the last couple of days!
This is a sketch from the other side, done by hubby, with his free Malmaison .dot com pencil and his free Malmaison dot com paper. No animals were injured in the production of this piece.....
Good stuff Marjorie, and for getting the hubby involved! Enjoy the exhibition.
Lewis great doodles so much character, hope your wife’s health improves soon. Really enjoying looking through everyone’s fabulous work, and reading all the ditty. Great idea Tessa to do sketch of your painting, enjoy BP exhibition Marjorie, how lovely you got your other half involved in the sketching too. Here's my offering for day 9, sketched from my own photo. Can you see where the paper has begun to tear off, might have used the eraser a bit too much :-D
Good feel of movement Anjana. No I can’t see the rubber mark unless under the mans hand? Don’t think anyone would know if you hadn’t said!
