So this morning I’m in a state of some discomfort and the sketch is the culprit.  Unfortunately the wee beastie made a meal of my legs and ankles, waiting on a GP appointment to get some antibiotics as a couple of the bites are infected.
Very delicate sketch of nasty little critter Hilary! The mosquitoes here love me can’t say it’s reciprocated though!
I sympathise.  The nasty beasties love my Sweet blood as I am diabetic.  The best repellent I know is Avon Skin So Soft.  I think the military use it.
Saw this interesting old tamarisk tree this morning when walking my dog so took a photo . Ink and watercolour wash.
Ouch Hilary! But you are obviously a true artist, never missing the opportunity to sketch something different! Hope the bites improve very soon, I know how horrible they are. Gillian like the style you’ve used for your tamarisk tree, do we have those in the UK? Not sure but I expect someone here will know. I did this drawing of the entrance to Chastleton House National Trust property near here, closed currently but able to park right outside the gates.
Another batch of fab work everyone. Love that kettle, Gillian, is it an ornament only or can it be used for making cuppa's?
Hi cj, yes used on my gas hob for making a cuppa!
Great sketches from you all even the mozzy Hilary!! nasty little beasties.
Not a sketch as such but a bit of wet in wet practice on a coastal view and wet sand effect. Just noticed that my horizon is off.

I hope to find a kettle like yours, Gillian, its gorgeous. On times the horizon and the sea blend into one, Hilary. I didn't notice until I read your last few words. Look as lovely delicate image.

Nice subtly seaside scene Hilary (try saying that after a drink or two!). The horizon wouldn’t bother me as it merges pretty well. Mine today is a pen sketch on my walk this morning.
Lovely to see some of you still doing daily(ish) sketches - I lapsed a long time ago!   Not been on laptop much recently so have not been on this website much recently - good to see these lovely sketches.
