A beautiful little bird, Ron. Its nice to view it as a painting, must be an exciting moment to see one live. Thanks for your comment. I'm no youngster, and this art form has been around for a while, but its nice to try something different to my norm. Have a great Father's Day gettogether.
Loving the Chibi CJ.  Great painting of the fairy wren, are they as small as the wrens in the UK?  Ive treated myself to some better quality watercolours so have been sitting doing colour mix charts for greens and greys for future reference. Small sketch of a chimney pot with a withering plant for today, I quite like things when they’re past their best
Thanks, Hilary. I like your drawing, its the change in colour and structure as things decay which still give us plenty to think about, nice to see this. There was an exhibition, I think it was in Bath, that was to do with decaying subjects, the exhibit venue wasn't open at the time, I'm sure it would have been interesting to have seen the subjects. Haven't seen one since. Maybe a challenge for next month :)

Thanks, Gillian, it is a fun thing to do, never too old to learn something new :) Hope there's been no more out-breaks, and you feel like getting your pencils and brushes back to work, soon.
The little blue wren is lovely Ron, and so unusual, at least for us. Makes our wrens look a little dull!  CJ, your Chibi is certainly something different and you seem to have cracked the style instantly. Like your choice of colour and gouache suits it. Hilary your choice of chimney pot and withering plant is nicely drawn, as you say there’s interest in all things. I haven’t had a chance to do much this week, but here’s a sketch I did a few days ago while waiting at the station.
Hilary, the blue wrens are quite common here and they are slightly bigger - about the size of a robin. Nice sketch, by the way, and I like the way old chimney pots are used for plants. Don’t get many of those here. Good sketch of the railway station, Tessa. I wish I remembered to take sketching gear with me when I’m out.
That sketch is fabulous, Tessa, not the easiest of subjects, cars, you've done a great job.
Been a busy day but just thought I would sketch my rather unusual kettle. Not my best offering!
The kettle looks fun Gillian what colour is it?  It reminds me of the type of enamel ware you get on canal boats.  Great sketch Tessa, I agree with Ron, must remember to take sketchbook with me when I go out.  Another bit of texture drawing today this time an old plum tree in my daughters garden thats past its best.
Good old tree Hilary, I like the look of the old bark. And Gillian’s lovely kettle, what a good subject, would be good to see in colour.  On a walk yesterday I passed a building on our industrial estate with this Fire Escape door which I took a photo of because it looks like the shrubs outside are taking over!
Hilary you can’t beat an old tree for an interesting picture the bark is a great texture. Like the fire escape door Tessa well spotted! I have just taken a snap of the kettle, you will now see I didn’t stick to the actual pattern but that’s an artist’s perogative ! 😃
