Tessa here’s a photo of the tin, I bought them from Amazon when I was doing the bearded dragon picture
Well, nobody waisted any time getting September off to a flying start. The church and flowers are very well portrayed Hilary. I like the use of those pens and the effect you have achieved. Again, great flowers Gillian, with that added touch of colour. Your boat, using the figure 8, is very good as well as Tessa’s. I’m a fan of wooden small boats, as opposed to the aluminium ‘tinies’ that proliferate here. Along with Dixie’s theme of trees, my sketch today is taken from a photo I took long time ago as a reference for a future painting. Dixie, keep going with the trees, they are very calming. I’m sticking with charcoal and Conte crayon today.
Interesting dead wood Ron, lovely textures. Hope you are settling back into life down under!  A pen sketch from me today. We have our first Positive Covid in our village so I will be staying in the safest place ... mi casa!

On the theme of old again, a sketch of an old brick wall.  Love your ink sketch Gillian.  Sorry to hear about the dreaded Covid being so close to you, keep safe!
This is moving along at the same speed as this year, very fast. Great work, everyone. Sorry to hear about your hand, Dixie, it must be very frustrating, on times. That news must be devastating, Gillian, I do hope there'll be no more.
Thank you Hilary for the info on your pens, I’ll definitely look them up, though I’m not sure I need any more art stuff! Surprising how it accumulates over the years. I like the chunk of wood, the window (always a good subject I think) and the brick wall. Simple and real subjects all, but good to sketch what’s there in front of us and not have to go looking for it. Keep safe all. Visitors going later today so I’ll be back in the groove then! x
Not been sketching past two days but hopefully do something later this evening! Like the old brickwork Hilary.
Nothing from me today as we went out for a drive and lunch to Marlborough.  Got lots of lovely reference photos for future painting/sketching.
I've downloaded a free sample of manga images on to my kindle and copied one of the images, they are called 'chibi' I enjoyed doing this. Did a drawing then inked it with an edding profipen 0.1 and then painted it with gouache and added lettering. I'm hooked.

...here's the image painted. Not a perfect 'chibi' image, as the head should be a little larger, I'll get there.

I love the creativity let loose on the simplest of subjects. Gillian, a great view of the window, since very often we just look through instead of at. Again, Hilary, the brick wall is something most people walk past without seeing the artistic significance as you have captured here. Well, I have never attempted Manga but it looks very slick CJ. I thought I had better get something done before our Father’s Day get together here (and, of course, it’s raining today). It’s a bird I keep seeing in the garden, but they are too quick to spot with the binoculars. The Blue Fairy Wren.
