Back at art group this morning after sooo long! Probably more chat and catch up than actual work but I started this sketch from a recent riverside photo using charcoal then pen and other bits.

It’s easily done Gillian.
Fantastic sketches from everyone. I've done a watercolour sketch today. I bought some decent palette knives a few months back, rather than the pack of plastic ones, you know, you get about 20,000 of them for a pound. No not really, they normally come in packs of 6. Well I've now got some new fancy pants palette knives I haven't used yet and I think tomorrow is the day to try them out. They have a real spring to them, unlike my feet. These are suppose to be gladiolus but I think I may have gone sideways a bit.
Gladdies always go sideways in my garden so you’re spot on!
I don't have any gladdies but they are such a beautiful flower. I will have another go with them at some point.
Enjoy your palette knives Denise… they are fun… I’m not a  fan of “glads” ….but you have made a brave attempt.  Brilliant. I’ve done a scribble again it’s part of my walk though it doesn’t look a bit like this…
This looks great Sylvia, I love the black and white scribble, it looks like a lovely walk. enhanced by your imagination.
You’re a whizz with that posca pen. Such vibrancy to this Sylvia.
Glad to see your gladdies Denise and I do like a nice bit of scribble Sylvia.  I'm very busy watching the tour of Britain must get back in my studio....
