Another happy picture Alan.  Like your use of coloured pencils.
Very nice portrait Dorothea, like the highlights, and another good portrait Alan.

Thank you Margaret, much appreciated.
What I think Iook like-ish sketch without using a mirror. Charcoal pencil and white marker on tan paper. 10 x7 inches. Didn't like the model much...(-:
A good portrait, Jim - like the mix of charcoal pencil and white.  :)
Good one!
Good portraits Dorothea, Alan and Jim, nice work.
Heather/Fiona. I see what you mean. It was one of a series I made after seeing a BBC prog. about the self portrait. I walked around waving my 'phone camera around and pressing the shutter randomly. It was a very bright, sunny day so the shadows are very strong on that picture, emphasised by the use of those mediums. Now I could perhaps be accused of chickening out here but I've searched and searched for the nude selfie (which also came from watching the same programme  which included Lucien Freud's nude self portraits and I wondered what it would be like to try that), but I can't find it anywhere. Alan I would like to see a larger version of the drawing you use for your profile (I will not mis-use that ubiquitous a-word). It has an energy that appeals.
Oh well, here is a rare one ....
I love this one Gudrun, its so colourful, and the glasses and eyes are really good.
John Humber, I have had 3 drawn profiles just lately, did you mean the one Im using now, which is of my dad. or was it another one.
