Copied and pasted these...not an Emin fan but would like to see them in situ.

Interesting thanks Sylvia… I would have to see them in situ, but generally, I’m liking the simplicity of the original drawings - and I imagine, not as easy a commission as one might think!
We'll have to agree to differ - to me they look like they were done in about thirty seconds with no care whatsoever.  If someone other than Emin had done these and posted them on POL would you be impressed?  Even more astoundingly she appears to be teaching drawing at the RA!

Good to see the whole doors.  The jury is still out for me.  Seeing the real thing would help.  As with most art, I'll probably like SOME panels.
Sadly I can't get beyond the woman...I find her utterly obnoxious . Maybe she would be a good subject for our artist page...
Has she done enough good stuff to fill a page Sylvia?!!
Contrary to popular belief, she can actually draw and paint really well, having attained a first class honours degree at the RCA… entry is very selective as well we all know - the problem here is that she deviated into unmade beds, and other nonsense, which frankly put paid to any credibility in my book. I’m not a fan of the majority of her stuff, but she isn’t all about unmade beds!
I do like those doors, I’d like to see them in situ, they look incredible. I think I read somewhere she’s put money into mentoring young artists in a studio she’s had designed for that purpose. Like Alan has said, to get a first class honours degree at the RCA is something else, like her or not.
I am not an Emin fan.  However I few years ago we found ourselves custodian of one of her small original sketches for a couple of days as it had been donated to a charity auction we were involved with.  I did admire her drawing skill and economy of line and there is no doubt in my mind she can draw.
Despite her having attended the RA her drawing skills are limited to say the least, I'm surprised anyone would think otherwise.
Hard to understand why, if she really does have good drawing skills, she continues to produce such scribbly stuff - and why it fetches such high prices.

I'm sorry to be blunt but it's absolute garbage.
