Don't you find that listening to your favorite music while painting, makes all the difference in the World...?
A bit of sixties rock and my painting sings.....
I can't paint with music on but when I'm building models it's the opposite...a. bit of rock 'n' roll helps enormously.
Yeah Sylvia and Peet I feel Ya....    I have several hundred songs on my phone.. My favorites list always Includes a lot of Zed Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, as well as select instrumental pieces from various movies or Artist...
I like to have silence and pick up any noise going on outside. Usually crows and magpies.
Pink Floyd ,Queen....bring them on.   My lovely ex daughter in law sang in their backing group on their North American tour....
Mainly Classic FM for me!
That's Cool Sylvia.....
I usually have the iPod on shuffle, so could be anything playing! In the car I have classic FM.
It’s the sound of what’s around me, ticking clock, neighbours in the garden , brushes in the water swirling around etc.  I  would be distracted by having music on , or listening to a discussion my mind has enough things going on as it is.  The best sound is taking the securing tape of when you have finished the painting , now that’s music to my ears.
Since my hearing isn't what it was, I hear lots of music in my head. I love all music and often paint something from a music prompt. Tchaikovsky's "Love theme from Romeo and Juliet" is currently keeping me quiet.
