Give good wishes to Murray = a fellow Isle of Wight artist, and a lovely, kindly man, who has undergone a very nasty operation in the last month. He's got some articles in Leisure Painter for us all to read, he's a great exponent of water miscible oils, he's a great teacher and encourager of others - he deserves our very best wishes, if only for his endless good will. Murray - all the best to you, it's a privilege to have known you, and I hope all goes well for you from now on. Pick those brushes back up as soon as you can, and keep teaching those who wish to learn!

If you are going to pass on good wishes from POL artists please give him mine for a satisfactory recovery. I hope that he will be back painting and teaching again once recovered.

I've just looked at some of his work and they are amazing! Just the kind of painting I like. I do hope he gets better soon and I send good wishes for his speedy recovery.

I have only just come across these good wishes and was deeply touched by your kind thoughts and I'm so sorry that I missed them until now. I would like to say that I made a full recovery and am busier than ever. Keep an eye open for a series of four articles about painting the sea in many moods in water-mixable oils, first one will be in the January 2022 and monthly thereafter. I am about to start on a series for issues after that. I hope you are all well and enjoying your art and getting back, carefully, to a more normal routine. A heartfelt thank you once again! Here is a more recent painting  of mine executed in Gouache, another lovely medium! Kind Regards, Murray

I must say that this is a superb view Murray, and you’ve done it justice in gouache, a medium which isn’t used nearly enough in my view. I’m pleased to hear that your health is now back to some level of normality! It would be nice to see you posting on the gallery!
