Many of you will be familiar with artist Murray Ince, whose work you will have seen in Leisure Painter, with some of his lovely demonstrations adapated and shared here on PaintersOnline in the techniques area, as well as in the gallery. It's with sadness that we heard today of Murray's passing following several weeks in hospital.    Murray's passion was for water-mixable oils and he co-founded in 2020, The Society of Painters in Water-Mixables Oils. Prior to his illness, Murray had written several articles that will still be published in Leisure Painter this year. He will be greatly missed by us all. A fine painter and I’ve read many of his articles over the years. That’s very sad news indeed…

I knew Murray - he was a lovely man.  I knew he had several health issues, but this is terrible news, and a shock.

That is sad.  I always admired his work and he was a nice man.  Deepest Sympathy to his family.

It’s sad news I only know him from his artwork, it’s always so sad when a artist passes all that talent lost . From what I read he like to teach people to draw and paint so a part of his will continue on.

Very sad. I painted in water mixable oils for a few years and he was a fore-runner and inspiration in that area. I have enjoyed his articles and his work. Sympathy to his family.
