Nice little sketch Bari, love the colours. Denise as Alan said your tonal values are excellent. Mine today isis a memory from childhood, a Tonibell ice cream van.
Well actually had a lovely day out yesterday  the first ..no second in a very long time . Bodnant gardens here in beautiful north Wales so busy , so many people.  Dogs now allowed so Sam dog miffed and watered virtually every leaf . Sat in the sunshine and did a half hour sketch of the trees and colours and shapes. Water colour in my A 5 Moleskine sketch book.  The other sketch was a bit of an experiment, some amazing white Iris by a stream  lots of dark shadow behind them.   I want to do a proper painting , but only had white paper  so just did a bluey wash and used my Posca  white pen to draw them
Nice bit of sketching Sylvia not been to Bodnant for a long time..Posca whit pen not one I've heard of will have to Google it..love the iris sketch..

Thank you Bari.  Bodnant is a bit special .
Lovely to hear you had a good time, Sylvia. Savour the moment! A lot of us are of an age to recognise that is important.
Excellent sketches Sylvia, I particularly like those trees and vegetation!
It was a good day Marjorie, thanks also the degree show in Leeds of my   G daughters , the conceptual art and me are not always compatible.. Thanks  Alan. .if you have never been to Bodnant it is a bit of a must, shapes, colours, textures all there in an abundance . .
I’ve done the fat finger two postings AGAIN… ..

Lovely sketches of Bodnant Sylvia. I've visited a few times but not since I started painting. Might have to have a trip there with paints in tow.
Thanks Denise, it is a very worth while place to go to .
Looking back through holiday sketch books I came across this one of St Mawes....
Messing around in my studio  keeping out of the sun .....' Oak moss Lichen '    mixed media.
