Exciting times for you and your family Denise! I like the way you’ve filled the whole page here. So often we draw a face/ head and forget about background (I do it myself sometimes) but this makes it a complete drawing. Very good and I like the shading.
Just been drawing sheep on zoom with Mary Anne Bartlett Art Safari..  she puts up pics and gives you no more than two mins.
That sounds really great Sylvia and your sketches are good.
Lovely sheep Sylvia.  Speed drawing is excellent practice and often produces the best results.  In my pre COVID weekly classes, our tutor frequently gave us exercises in 1 min, 3 min, 5 min, 10 min and 15 min.  I have certainly become quicker.  If I get 20 minutes for drawing a portrait, I don’t feel rushed.   When I studied for A level art I didn’t think that I had time for the face and hands in a 3 hour life drawing session! Congratulations Denise!
Another from my sketch pad . My neighbour has this old VW just rusting away I have told him it’s time it went to the old vokes  home , which happens to be a VW garage near Wareham .
Here is a change of subject for me, hope you enjoy.
And if the bbbb pheasant in my garden starts calling at 5am  I will be a tad cross ..nice sketch Alan.
Good one Alan. I have been very quiet over  the past couple of weeks because I have started a new drug for my Parkinson’s which is steadily being increased so my tremor has put me off putting pencil to paper. Anyway I have had a go this afternoon.
Another shakey  sketch, a curlew my favourite bird call here in Orkney signalling spring and summer to come. The sketch could be stronger but my tremor makes gentle handed
It's a lovely sketch Gillian, I'm hoping to get my sketch book out later. Great sketching everyone.
Well Gillian, I managed to get the sketch pad out this evening. I sketched this from a photo, I am trying to get more practice at light and dark contrast.
That’s really good Denise, love how you have captured the light coming in through the window!
