Versatile Margaret, always good. Nice work.. That is really lovely Dixie - I like it  a lot - lovely soft colours.  Sorry your hands are still not totally okay but you are still producing good stuff :)   Hope your girl recovers soon Tessa - impressed you still managed a beautifully done sketch. Finally got a postable sketch done (did a ws pencil one but it was pretty rubbish) - a very quick fountain pen (and water) sketch from one of my own photos - up on Dunadd Hill, Argyll.

Already had an Anne Elliot from "Persuasion" in the forum so I'll post this here. I was quite happy with the idea of this pen and wash sketch. It could also be Fanny Price from Mansfield Park.

Thanks Jim :)  That is a lovely sketch, Jim - a beautiful image of one of my favourite heroines from a book - I had been trying to come up with a cover idea for Persuasion for the Painters Online March Challenge which is to do an illustration of a favourite book for folk to guess - I couldn't think of one and went for another author.  If you are interested in that challenge it is at - https://www.painters-online.co.uk/forum/painters-online/march-forum-challenge-1/?forumAction=LastPost#post-460011

Cheers Margaret, but I've already posted a couple of entries in that thread. I've posted a lot of Regency era sketches, particularly from Jane Austen who is hands-down my favourite Author.
Sorry a bit late to the party again life sort of gets in the way. Anyways great work again everyone. Had a go at doing a Meerkat so here's my effort.
Nice one Christopher he certainly has that look! Here’s mine for today, killing time til hospital visiting! Bottles from last night not this morning!

Super expression on that Meerkat, Christopher - we have been getting a wide variety of subjects on here! :)   Hope all going well at the hospital, Tessa, very nicely drawn.
Thanks Margaret.  I did try to sketch the cat but sometimes your subject just wants to join in!
Just popped in to say hello and great to see every ones work, some good sketches going on, sorry to hear your girls poorly Tessa hope she recovers quickly, been busy on Dawns forum challenge, but hope to post again soon.
